BEFORE I NEEDED A BEFORE SHOT 1/18/2003 139 pounds Size 5/7
Although 139 is still above what is usually recommended for my height, they are wrong! I am quite thin at 139, my collar bones stick way out. So, this is my goal. I have had one more baby since this picture was taken, but I think I can do it.....I think I can, I think I can.....
In fact, I know I can. When I took this picture I had a two-and-a-half year old and a six month old. I gained 45 pounds with each. By the time the six month old was about 16 months old, I had gained 20 of it back. I got pregnant again and put on another 48 with that baby. 38 pounds came off immediately; so I had 10 pounds of baby weight, plus the 20 to lose. I have, unfortunately, put on another 13 pounds.....so, in total I need to lose 43 pounds. It's a lot and seems like too much; much more than I can handle. But, I will just start trying. I read that many people don't start dieting because it takes too long to lose the weight, but that time goes by anyway and we just find ourselves six months later weighing the same. This is so true for me! I think, gawd, 43 pounds is a lot to lose, it will take forever....but, now my youngest is 15 months old....You know how much I could have lost in that time!?!?!


NOW THAT I NEED A BEFORE SHOT 10/05 183 pounds

I am going to waive 3 pounds because I have (obviously) had a boob job and my surgion said they weigh 3 pounds...so they don't count! My weight loss goal is, therefore, 40 pounds. Let's hope for 2 pounds per week... that's 20 weeks...5 months.....So, let's just say April 1st. There, my goal: 40 pounds lost by April 1, 2006.

Day Three~ Shannin

Breakfast:
Slim Fast shake (4)
Banana (2)

Lg. Non-Fat Mocha with Almond syrup (6)

Lunch:
2 slices wheat bread (4)
2 fat free turkey slices (2)
1 slice provalone cheese (2)

Snack:
8oz canned chicken breast- dry (4)

Dinner:
Homemade chili cheese soup (4)

Dessert:
1/2 c. Ice Cream (4)

Day total: 32 points

Need to drink more water, skip the Starbucks and buy Skinny Cow desserts....and get my fat ass to the GYM!!!

Day Two

Ok, I made pumpkin pancakes today (for the kids!)....I took three, but only ate 1 1/2...I guess that is improvement...I don't know how many points it is.....

Breakfast:
1 1/2 pumpkin pancakes (?)

Lunch:
2 cups 98% Fat Free Chicken Noodle soup (4pts)

Dinner:

small non-fat pumpkin spice latte

1 1/2 cups brownie mud pie ice cream!

Ok, need to do better tomorrow....definitly!

Introduction

I am starting this blog so that I have a place to rant about food, tell my dirty eating secrets, and track my progress (hopefully). I will be posting "Before I needed a Before shot" pics of when I was hot for motivation. I will also post "Now that I need a Before shot" pics....this is going to be the tough one. I will weigh myself weekly (crap, that means I need to buy a scale!) and post the results. I will also be posting my daily food journal here. I find that if I am accountable to some degree, I don't eat the things I shouldn't. Knowing that I will have to post that I ate a half-gallon of ice cream might prevent me from doing so. I would appreciate any *supportive* comments, and will delete any offensive ones. I would also appreciate good links I could add to my site, especially those that are diet journals as well. If you would like to link me, please feel free.

BTW~ I am following the old school Points Weight Watchers program.
